A well-designed website’s cost is typically broken down, with design expenses constituting 50% of the total. This encompasses UI and UX designers who create wireframes, as well as any graphical design work. Consequently, for a small website, this cost may amount to €3000.
Development price
If the design costs €3000, the development cost is approximately the same, totaling around €6000. This indicates that the starting price for a professional website is €6000, and additional features or more pages will incur extra charges
Price of add-ons
One plugin usually costs anything between €20-€100 per month. How many you need? Total plugins and cost per website varies based on your specific needs and/or based on the industry. For example, eCommerce shops need checkout cart, invoice printing and many other features, which can cost up to a thousand euros extra per year. The good news is that we have many of these plugins with unlimited developer licenses, which we provide for our customer sites free of charge, saving you a considerable cost each year.
Maintenance price
WordPress requires monthly maintenance, usually priced at €160-200 per month for regular updating and cleaning. On rare occasions, the price can go up to €400 if there is critical issue, such as code errors between plugins or themes or critical errors. In general, you do not require maintenance with website builders, as they take care of everything in the back end. The negatives thing about them is that these platforms are much slower, hence we do not recommend them.
Custom work
If you require custom coding, development or design task to be done, the prices are €100-€120 per hour before ALV. This high price is due to developers’ salaries reach over €5000 a month. This profession costs an agency at least double that due to high taxes.

Advertising: SEM or Social Media
Advertising is your second best form of generating traffic. It means crafting an ad and strategically positioning it in special ad-located spots all around the Internet to attract visitors to click your site.
Two of the main ways are search engine marketing (SEM) and social media advertising on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.
This price is broken into two:
- Ad price: you pay per click to Google, Meta or others, which is anything between €0,10 -100 € per click.
- Ad management cost: Creating and managing ads can cost between €1000 and €5000 per month to tens of thousands (usually the higher the budget, the higher the cost due to extra work).
Especially beneficial is remarketing, which means retargeting visitors who visited your site and never bought from you. The price for this is considerably less and is actually more effective than advertising to cold traffic.
The total cost of the website
A website total price is subject to your specific needs and budget. If you decide to learn the skill yourself, which is not easy and takes years to practice, you can pay anything up to €1000. If you want a website created by professionals such as freelancers or website development agencies, you can expect to pay €1000-€10000. There are also additional costs involved, such as domain, hosting, and plugins, which you need to consider. Lastly, if you need custom functions or coding, the the price can add up quickly to tens of thousands.
